About Your Consultant

I have worked in North Carolina public schools for over a decade as classroom teacher in traditional and dual-language classrooms, an intervention specialist, and a school administrator. Throughout my professional career I have tutored across grade levels, supported families in navigating public school processes and resources, and occasionally advocated for clients in special education meetings.

I have both my Bachelors in Education and my Masters in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and a North Carolina Principal Fellow.

I stepped away from school leadership in 2019 to focus on raising a family with my wonderful husband, and we have two young children. Friends and neighbors find us playing at the park, walking around the lake, or swimming in the neighborhood pool. We love library story time, museums, farmers markets, and spontaneous trips to the beach or mountains.

Experiencing school from the parental perspective and bonding with many local moms has revealed to me a real need for a resource for parents who want to help their child prepare to thrive in school. My mission is to consult with parents and kids and develop individualized home programs for parents to implement with their child so that he or she has the confidence and basic skills to experience success and enjoy their kindergarten year. I very much look forward to getting to know your family, your goals for your student, and helping you to set in motion a plan for success in school!
